Why we do it

We do it for Nick. He was one of ours — full of life, quick with a laugh, and the sort of bloke who'd tell you exactly what he thought of an idea like this before turning up anyway and outlasting the lot of us. Losing him in 2025 knocked the wind out of everyone who knew him.

LOROS care for over 2,500 terminally ill patients and their families across our county every year, free of charge. That care doesn't happen by itself — it's paid for by people like you, chucking a few quid at daft ideas like ours.

The walk

On foot from The Rock in Coalville to The Blue Boar — 14 miles, 17 pubs, and a well-earned half pint at every single one.

It's not big, it's not clever. In fact, by the time we've got up the hill to the Bull's Head — that's pub number one of the fifteen — there'll already be a few regrets.

A bit of a tradition now

This is the third year we've done this walk, and somewhere between the first one and now it stopped being a one-off and became a tradition. More walkers every year, more sore feet on the Sunday, and the same conversation halfway round about whether we really need to do the rest.
